Howard Reiss

With over 35 years of experience, Mr. Reiss has represented Fortune 500 companies, government entities, foreign corporations, reinsurance companies, unions, smaller, closely-held corporation and well-known individuals in significant litigations and arbitrations in Federal and State Courts, as well as national and international arbitration forums.

In addition to his broad litigation experience, Mr. Reiss is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the International Institute For Conflict Prevention & Resolution for which he has arbitrated in excess of 150 matters, many involving hundreds of millions of dollars. He also serves as a mediator both privately and in the Federal and State Court Systems. He is experienced in disputes involving contracts, insurance and reinsurance, intellectual property, securities, employment, partnership breakups and valuation issues, among other practice areas.

Mr. Reiss is a member of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, has helped teach seminars on legal ethics at his alma mater, Columbia Law School, and regularly serves as a judge for the National Moot Court Competition held each year by the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Reiss is the author of 3 books and serves on the board of a number of non-profit organizations and is a co-founder of “Sunday Supper”, an organization that helps feed the homeless.
